I have half an hour to walk to the stadium, and the same distance to walk to the center of the old town. Today Monday Feb. 29 is working day. I spend the day working in my hotel room. Boring at times, especially on tour, fun at home, but I must do it, as it pays for my bills and keep me on the tour. Then in the afternoon I take a break and walk to the city.
Porto Alegre is a beautiful city. I enjoy walking the streets, and return to Rua dos Andrados for my favorite places. Then back to work for some hours. By 7pm I do finally have some time available. I run an hour through the park to the stadium, it is dark but the good thing is the temperature is now just + 27 C i.e. F 81. When I was running in São Paulo one day it was + 34 C which is F 93. A bit too hot for me when it comes to running. Before I went running I had this great sunset as seen from my hotel window. I think I can get to love every city. Just give me a few hours, some great walking shows, and I will at least give it my best try.
