The flight from São Paulo to Porto Alegre takes one hour fifteen minutes. Arriving at 3pm Sunday afternoon Feb 28, it seems like everyone in Porto Alegre is enjoying the Sunday off in the parks. I walk to the stadium half an hour away from mmy hotel, some 2,5 km (1,5 mile), and check it out. It is impressive with a great look and design. Then I walk to the old town, many great buildings, and I find my favorites.

Rua dos Andrados is in the old town center, and I find many great places I will enjoy during my short four days stay here in Porto Alegre. A cafe, a pizza place, and a place with all the great cakes I could dream about. They are almost right next to each other in the heart of the city. Boteko Andrados on Rua dos Andrados 741, Pizzaria Mundo da Fatia on no. 749, and Padaria & Conferitaria Roma on no. 797. I am the only tourist, as it seems. There are no Stones shirts to be seen yet.

I spend all of Sunday walking. While it took three days to figure out São Paulo, I get to know a lot of Porto Alegre during this first afternoon.
